1. What types of art can be found in ganstudios.com?
a 1
i call myself a figurative landscape artist only because i don't know
any better. as the eternal amateur, knowing types of art is beyond me
even while i engage in arting it. i could just as well call myself an
abstract landscape artist. that sounds pretentious enough to be confused
with meaning and accepted by someone. not particularly me.
the art found in ganstudios is simply the art found in gantudios. i love
faces, and hair, and moods, so there is a lot of that here. it seems
to me i'm finding the third rail, the one used to power imaginations.
but that could simply be personal bluster.
so that's probably the kind of art i do. art that sticks to itself without
intruding on the art world. that sounds innocent enough to be disarming.
i made a few videos with pinnacle studios. that was fun. fade in fade
out twist turn disappear swoop. they could very well be art videos, so
that's what i called them. they are definitely self-expression videos.
i don't know what they mean even though i've named them. another ah-ha
in the ha-ha. when i say i don't know what things mean, that doesn't
mean i couldn't provide a meaning if asked. i find nihilism has its foot
stuck in the door.
2. Is the art original?
a:2
far as i know, yes. some of the portraits began life for me on the internet.
during their de and re construction they've changed so much any connection
is purely etheral. some of the abstracts started off in photoshop. i've
changed them so much there is once again no correlation.
in as much as we all get our ideas from somewhere, everything has a starting
point somewhere. even those we consider great, even those we consider
evil,
stood on someone's head to see above the water level.
so the answer is yes.
3. Can the art on the site be used without
permission?
a:3 basically no.
unless you use it in the same way i used it as a starting off point.
a personal leap of faith
4. Who holds the copyright for the art
found on ganstudios.com?
a:4 with the exception of a few background songs located in my art videos,
everything belongs to me. i don't yet know what to do with the songs
i temporarily pilfered. i'm sure the record companies would love to pursue
and punish me for their temporary pilferage. as soon as i find a solution,
the songs will be deleted. as for the rest - i take full responsibility
and ownership.
5. Who holds the copyright for the written
material found on ganstudios.com?
a:5 i take full responsibility and ownership. a few places could be plagerized.
not deliberately on my part. but when that happens, and i apologize to
the owner, i honestly don't remember.
6. How can I download the written material?
a:6 i don't have enough traffic for solid prices on anything or for paypal
or visa etc. if something interests you, drop me a line in the contact
us form, refer to the download info, and let's talk.
7. How can I download an image?
a:7 same as above. i don't have enough traffic for solid prices on anything
or for paypal or visa etc. if something interests you, drop me a line
in the contact us form and let's talk.
8.Who created the ganstudios.com website?
a:8i did. i had a few teachers, both alive and virtual. i took their
meme ideas when i understood them. i find that making websites is time
consuming and nerve grinding. fortunately, anything we design is art,
from the fork to the paperclip to the wheelbarrow to picasso. so ganstudios.com
falls into the undertow we cal art and i hope can be viewed as art rather
than a simple machine-like the lever. but take a moment - whoever invented
the lever was a great artist. an installation piece that lasted forever.
9. How can I sign-up for the WAT blog?
a:9 WAT blog contains an area located at the bottom left of the opening
page to insert your email address and subscribe. you could try it and
unsubscribe at any time. being viewed is important to google and when
i began creating things you could see and touch and read, it seemed to
be important. although, frankly, i no longer know why.
